POLITICAL & GOVERNMENT COMMENTARY.
Proverb 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. These words are centered around getting God’s wisdom, but by extension could apply to government which is an institution established by God to administer order here on earth. As we know human order can be suspect at times, and other times sinister. Our commentary seeks to apply wisdom and understanding to to the subjects of Politics; policy; Politicians; Political parties; and Government forms.
SOCIAL COMMENTARY
Third Rail's take on social commentary is to go beyond the rhetoric of social justice speak, and to tackle the issue with research, and an understanding of the numbers and trends that make the issues so news worthy. Our commentary explores within the elements of relational culture, history, crime and religion. Our vision is not just the "what" happen, but also how did we get there.
ENTERTAINMENT COMMENTARY
Entertainment does not just entertain us, it also can influence our lives, our mindset and world views. It can, depending on the media establish our morals, conduct and tolerances. It is from this perspective which we explore these categories to understand the possible meanings of the entertainment phenomena, and the context in which they take shape. In so doing, we can evaluate how they relate to us as individuals and as a cultural beyond the entertainment value and what their place is within society.
TECH & INDUSTRY COMMENTARY
Third Rails goal here is not product reviews or comparisons, our objective is much broader and far reaching. Here we look at emerging technology and how it can affect our lives and culture, we take on the debate on whether a brand of tech improves the human condition or makes it worse. Many forms of technology are advancing at an incredible rate out pacing the considerations of moral and conscience concerns.
Our commentary takes an all points view on these emerging techs as well as a few nostalgic glimpses in the past.
