THE ARK OF PROTECTION
AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH
In these modern times, we can see in ourselves how the growing hostility that brought the Judgment of God upon the entire world before the flood grew. Like our predecessors, we, too, are on a collision course with judgment. For Jesus, himself warned his disciples that the end days before his return would build up and become like the days of Noah.
Matthew 24:37 “ But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
This great flood has captured the imagination of persons of all walks of life and faiths. The flood occurred around 2348 BC. In the wake of the flood was the death and destruction of countless creatures. On this side of glory, we may never know the numerous sub-sets of the kinds of animals that lived prior that are now no more. So great was the rush of water that even the landmass itself would pay the price as the continents would be reshaped and reformed. The atmosphere that we now see today was totally different in those days, changed by the great deluge. It was to this flood that the totality of mankind would be reduced to but eight people.
Imagine all the evil present in our world today, magnify it a thousand fold, and add to that the peculiarities of the strange Angelic and human interactions. You come away with a frightful time. Genesis 6:5 informs us of the nature of man during these times. The word says, "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
GOD HAS A PROVISION FOR YOUR PROTECTION
God has made a provision for his people in these uncertain times; it is the Ark of his protection.
If you are a true believer in the one true and living God and know that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to salvation. If you know, there is no other way. Then come out of the rain, get on the Ark, and be preserved from the wrath to come.
WHAT I HOPE YOU LEARN
What I would hope that you come away from this blog post is:
1. God has a provision for us to survive the world system of today and his own judgment to come.
2. Jesus is the only way to access this Ark of Provision
3. Jesus is the only way to salvation from the ultimate judgment and wrath of God
4. God will punish sin both now on earth and in the future of Revelation to come.
WALK WITH ME AND DISCOVER YOUR GUARDIAN
I would encourage everyone to read the great flood story found in Genesis chapters 6 to 9. It is inspiring and cautionary; it displays the depths of humanity's corruption and the empathy and grace of God to preserve mankind.
We will now cover how God in our present times has prepared a spiritual Ark of protection for the believers of today. An ark to take refuge from the snares and attacks of Satan's world system and ultimately provide us with deliverance from God's wrath to come upon a rebellious world.
Let us now observe this present Ark of Protection we the believer can access.
JESUS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY INTO THE ARK
So let us just get this out of the way less everyone will think they have access to the Ark of Protection. This is an exclusive vessel designed for the believer, and the key to entry is Jesus Christ. Without a ticket of his blood from him, you will be like the people of Noah's day as the rain began to fall, running and screaming for entry into a door closed and sealed.
Hey, I did not make this up. Here read it for yourself:
John 14:6 ESV: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Acts 4:12 ESV: And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
1 Timothy 2:5 ESV: For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
John 3:16 ESV: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 10:9 ESV: I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
You see, I am just the messenger, there are rules to this grind, and they are strictly enforced because the stakes are high, and the living God had to die and rise again to set this table. So if you are not a believer, this world will get a lot more insane for you as we move further within these End Days.
As sad as this sounds, there are still many believers who have unknowingly chosen to not get on board the Ark by holding on to the world and living by the rules of the world. Such an unnecessary walk of suffering. Come, wayward brother and sister, get back on the Ark, to glory be to God.
THE NEED FOR THE ARK OF PROTECTION TODAY
There is a need for the Ark of Protection on two battlefronts. One physical and one spiritual, but be sure to understand that the two are allies and work in unison and under the control of the arch enemy Satan.
The first battlefront is physical read what Jesus himself had to say about the physical world you and I must endure:
Matthew 24:6-8 KJV
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
The closer we come to the End of Days and the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation, the greater the above conditions manifest in our world. These conditions are pre-tribulation conditions; they are circumstances that the believer will live and go through and must endure. These are different from the Tribulation conditions, which thankfully the believer will not go through as we shall all be raptured away from this great wrath. We will cover that in a moment.
The second battlefront is spiritual read what the awesome brother Paul has to say:
Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
You see, among us today are spiritual beings at various levels and authority injecting themselves into every facet of human existence, both on the individual person level and the governmental, institutional and organizational level. These beings are influencing our environments and the human mind to bring about death and destruction. Without the Ark of God's Protection, the believer would surely be as doomed as the unbeliever.
UNDERSTANDING THE ARK OF PROTECTION
So what is the Ark of Protection? Like the Ark of Noah was made of numerous materials and designed in a specific way to survive a particular threat. So is the present Ark of Protection made of multiple materials to protect us from particular hazards. Let's discover those materials now:
1. The Holy Spirit, ah yes. The Holy Spirit is our Noah; he guides us to the Ark and directs and overseas us while on our journey. He informs us what to pray for, he whispers to us of coming danger. He is our comforter who gives us peace to see the battlefield clearly.
2. The Armor of God, yes, your war gear. Ephesians 6: 10-18 lays out for you what you should be wearing on the Ark of Protection, should the enemy encroach upon our vessel, and guest what he will, because he is a relentless foe intent on fulfilling his mission to steal, kill, and destroy and to also thwart the work of the people of God.
3. The body of Christ, yes you. When the believer bands together with other believers within the settlements of the congregation where they worship, they form a barrier of protection and support, that is, like the pith that holds the planks of Noah's Ark together. Simple in appearance but powerful in application. Beyond the congregation, all Believers form the first echelon the Body of Christ.
4. The angelic Host of God. These beings present a counter-spiritual force to the evil beings around us. Like they provided Job in days past, they offer a hedge about us the believer. These beings operate and protect on our behalf to the limits of our obedience to God.
This, then, my friend, is the primary part of this awesome Ark of Protection upon which we rest. The pieces are fluid in motion, as are the forms of attack they protect us from. Much like Noah's Ark had water splash upon the outer deck as it was battered by powerful winds and frightful waves of tremendous moving water but did not once breach, so is this present Ark of our Protection.
While in this Ark, you will be hit with great waves and staggering winds, but if you hold to your faith, this Ark will not breach, and like Noah, you will be safe inside from the destruction outside.
THINGS TO DO WHILE IN THE ARK
Just like Noah had work to do while on the Ark in the mists of the deluge, so do we. What is the job, you say? Well, here it is.
1. Pray
2. Fast
3. Study your Word
4. Testify to the Gospel of Jesus Christ; the good news
5. Give Thanks for all things
6. Have faith
GOD'S WRATH TO COME: THE DISTANT PROTECTION OF THE ARK
As I alluded to earlier, there is a long game regarding this Ark of Protection. You see if you are on this Ark when the trumpet is sounded. The calling of the living and dead in Christ into the clouds on that day of the Rapture. You friend will be protected from the horrors of the Tribulation to come and the wrath of God upon this world and its leaders; the Anti-Christ, False Prophet, and the Beast.
During this horrible time, God shall set upon this earth with plagues, natural destructions, and a horrifying release of powerful spirit beings from the depths of hell. Beings who has been chained for thousands of years. Let me assure you these guys will be ticked, and there will be no one else to vent on than mortal man. Yikes! I think I am going to stay on the Ark and miss that show. How about you?
DEMONSTRATION IN SCRIPTURE
Let me leave you with a practical demonstration of what this whole Ark of Protection thing would look like in our lives:
Psalm 23 KJV
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
IN CONCLUSION
This warfare is real family. The storm is a beast, but God, long before he even needed to. Prepare a way to endure the storm, not avoid it but go through it like a champion, like an overcomer that we are told we are.
There were no steering mechanisms on Noah's Ark. Where would he go? His was a matter of time, waiting out the stormy deluge. For Noah and the inhabitants of the Ark, there was nowhere to go outside those walls, there was nothing but water and wind.
This is our current condition and likewise we have nowhere to go, but wait on God and the dryland of the New Heaven and Earth.
