BIBLE SCRIPTURE ON FORGIVENESS Music and scripture to meditate on the word of God, the essence of forgiveness is to at our core to reach a level where we cease to feel resentment for wrongs and offenses; pardon, involving restoration of broken relationships.
In our relationship with God forgiveness from God becomes an act of releasing sinners from judgment and freeing them from the divine penalty of their sin. Since only God is holy, only God can forgive sin (Mk 2:7; Lk 5:21).
Forgiveness is also a human act toward one’s neighbor, given new incentive and emphasis in the NT because of God’s forgiveness in the death of Christ. Hence forgiveness is a uniquely Christian doctrine.
The best way to use this video is to listen and meditate on the words of God, ponder how they apply to the topic at hand. Some verses will be obvious, others will require more meditation, but these often will inspire within you the more revelation of God, for you in your moment of seeking.
